Rainbow Symbolism ~&~ Meaning

Rainbow Symbolism...      What is the meaning of a Rainbow?  Rainbows speak directly to our heart and soul, filling us with awe and energies of liquid love pouring all around us. Rainbows bring the promise that the troubles of today will surely come to pass, hold strong in your faith and vision and the rainbow will bring fresh beginnings, and new prosperity.

Rainbow... A symbol of Magical Blessings

The Rainbow is also an extraordinary symbol of following our hearts desire and purpose... to get to the end of the Rainbow is a symbol for the celebration of that fulfillment.

The end of the Rainbow signifies a pot of gold and the magic that surrounds your dreams coming true, and the end of the rainbow is the enchanted magical land of leprechauns.

Rainbow symbolism has such a powerful meaning to each of us and graciously bestows the energy of blessings. The symbolism of a Rainbow intuitively tells us to hold onto hope, to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that sacred blessings open to us when we are following our hearts desire.  And the symbol of the Rainbow tells us that we are guided to our hearts desire when we open to spirit to let it guide us.

Double Rainbow Symbolism...  Serendipity

A double rainbow means serendipitous magic is on the way,  the path of personal magic is opening for you.  Be true to yourself and your dreams and know that the Universe is conspiring on your behalf.  This also tells you that your intuition is keener than you might have imagined... it says "it's a sure sign to trust your vibes".

The Colors of a Rainbow

The rainbow is comprised of 7 colors.  The order of colors of a Rainbow is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.  This is the same color order as the color of Chakras, and the colors on a color wheel.  Understanding the meaning of the colors, can be very helpful in knowing the significance of the deeper meaning of Rainbow symbolism, and the message it has for us at the time it appears for us.

I just love rainbows! The other day a rainbow was reflected off of my aquarium and the rainbow ended on my dining room floor... I have always wanted to find the end of a rainbow!  Alas, there it was... the end of a Rainbow! As soon as I saw it I jumped into it (with the delight of a child... dancing and squealing!.... "I'm standing in a rainbow!!!).  I stood there for several minutes, just absorbing the rays. And the colors were brilliant... the pure prismatic colors were amazing.

Rainbow Symbolism and Close Encounters with Spirit

It is no coincidence to see a Rainbow... it is a such a "close encounter" with a powerful sign from Spirit. These close encounters tell us that Spirit is gently reminding us to stay on our path and not get distracted or be in a rush... and that the treasures of the rainbow are ours and will come in beautiful and unexpected forms... release expectations and embrace the gifts and beauty of the tender beauty of Nature and blessings from the Universe...

The Story of the Rainbow Bridge

This is my favorite tale related to Rainbow Symbolism, and when you read it I think you will agree.

From Ancient Norse legend and mythology comes the story of the Rainbow Bridge.  This a story of the immense love and enduring bond of pets and people.   Pets have taught us a special kind of love, love with no judgement, just pure acceptance and joy to be with one another.

This story has been kept alive because of how we feel about our pets, how we miss them after they pass, and how we long to have them at our sides again.

This story of the Rainbow Bridge touches our hearts with assurance that our pets are waiting to be united with us.

If you've lost a beloved pet, let this legend keep hope alive that you will be re-united with your precious and loving pets again . . . at the Rainbow Bridge.

The Rainbow Bridge connects Heaven and Earth, it is bright with the colors of the rainbow, and just as you near the bridge, there your pets await you in this very special land.

And so the legend goes. . .

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills and valleys with lush green grass and fields of flowers and greens for all of our special friends, so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable with many places to nestle as they dream and sleep.  All of the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong once  again... just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing. They miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the nose twitches and the eager body quivers, excitement fills their being.  Suddenly, this one breaks away from the group, leaping, and racing over the green grass, legs carrying them faster and faster.

YOU have been spotted. . .   and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, NEVER to be parted again! The happy kisses rain upon your face.

Your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet...so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...
