Celtic Tree Meanings & Wands of Magic

Wands of magic as well as runes were made of the branches of the different trees by the Celts, their magical attributes having an affinity with the meaning of the tree, giving the wand powers of divination held by the tree.   For branches to work their magic they must be fallen branches, to cut a  branch from a tree would be taboo, since it is a living being.  To do so would be to bring the reverse effect of your magic spells and enchantments upon you.
